International Science Body Chastises IPCC

The international scientific community continues to defend itself against Climategate and distance itself from the IPCC and its embarrassing scandals. Notes Heartland Senior Fellow James M. Taylor in an article for the May issue of Environment & Climate News,

With 36,000 members—more than 10 times the number of participants in IPCC—and an objective, unbiased point of view, the Institute of Physics’ rebuke of many of the world’s most prominent alarmist scientists carries enormous weight within the scientific community.

I can't work up an ounce of sympathy for the rebuked IPCC and its scientist-propagandists.

Could not agree with you more! But the whole climate change discussion got so dang politicized so fast (thanks for nothing, lamestream media) that I think the legitimate scientific organizations were hesitant to step into the fray. But now all of science is starting to look bad, and the legit scientists are awakening. Slowly, to be sure!

It's about time. The scientific community has been far too slow in chastising some pretty sloppy science. I would like to see more of this.
