Some staggering poll numbers
Polls in April are about as meaningful as baseball games in April, but they can be revealing all the same. CNN/Rasmussen did one of those classic "Which party do you trust?" polls and I guarantee the numbers had the same effect on Democratic leaders in Congress as a Bob Gibson fastball would have had on some hapless batter back in 1968: devestation.
Some highlights... which party do you trust on:
National Security: GOP +15
Iraq: GOP+8
Abortion GOP +15
Taxes: GOP+18
Ok, fine. But those are traditionally strong issues for the GOP. What else you got:
Economy: GOP +12
Immigration: GOP +13
Social Security: GOP +12
Wait... Economy? Immigration? Social Security? Wait it gets better:
Education: GOP +3
Health Care: GOP +16
Health Care?!?! After President Obama's historic, ground-breaking, paradigm-shifting, mind-blowing win on Health Care and the country not only prefers the GOP, but by a staggering 16 points?! Wow. My only concern is that it's going to be difficult to improve on these numbers, but the momentum is there and the GOP would be wise to seize on it.

It appears that we've reached a tipping point regarding the public's response to the mainstream media. The latter are such blatant sock puppets for our socialist government that the public is openly placing its trust in other sources. That's even better news for the reform movement.

I would like to hope those numbers would get better in time. But even if they get worse (from a freedom perspective), it's still not good news for the Obama agenda.
The "Health Care" numbers are — even now — a bit surprising. The MSM is still helping Obama sell this crap sandwich, and the electorate ain't buying. A political "win" is fungible today, and hopefully those HC numbers will stay north of 10 percent by November.
