Sources of the Warmabomber's Bright Ideas

Where in the world would James Jay Lee, the Global Warmabomber, have gotten the radical idea that the number of humans must be reduced, if not eradicated, to accomplish environmental goals? Richard Morrison provides some answers at the main site today. Here are some other deep-pocketed promoters who link population control (aka abortion or "reproductive" rights) and saving the environment (aka "sustainability"):

That's billions of dollars to spread the humans-are-pollution message around, and only the few found with a couple of basic Google searches. Feel free to add your discoveries in the comments (I'm sure I'm missing obvious ones).

And then there are the talk radio hatemongers on the Left and the alarmists who wish harm or death on global warming realists...

I'm looking at a few of your links. For the most part, they don't seem to say what you suggest they say.

The MacArthur Foundation "population" link seems to focus, for example, on reducing maternal death. Keeping pregnant mothers alive to mother their children is an anti-humanity plot?

The UN link? Looks focused on giving women in poor countries more "family planning" options. I suppose that's at least partly code for abortion -- and I understand the discomfort there -- but it's also simply code for birth control. It's not like there's forced sterilization here. The UN isn't trying to stop population growth: The pages you link to freely admit that population will continue to grow. They are trying to slow it down some, but only by letting people make their own choices instead of forcing them to bear children.

I could keep on going, but it's silly -- at odds with reality -- to say that more people on Earth don't create more pollution. Of course they do! I have to take out the trash more often now that I'm married, and even MORE often now that I've got a kid. Mulitply that effect by 6 billion or so people, and, well, there's going to be an impact.

But believing that simple idea doesn't mean George Soros wants to see the end of humanity -- and, seriously, shame on you for suggesting that by linking him with James Lee. Most people and organizations are trying to improve and retain a quality of life for humanity, not hasten our extinction. James Lee was a nut. So was Joseph Stack, the man who flew his plane into the Texas IRS building. By your logic, I should probably blame the Heartland Institute for that. I don't ... because that would be obscenely ridiculous.
