Part 3: Expose: Wind Power vs. Nuclear Energy

This is the final segment from North Shore "Live" Cooper's Corner Comcast TV show produced in Highland Park, IL, by Beverly Cooper.

This segment salutes the Heartland Institute for its upcoming Climate Change Conference on May 16 - 18 at the Marriott Magnificant Mile Hotel in Chicago.

The purpose of my three posted video segments from Cooper's Corner is to create interest in the Zion/Exelon saga (Why Exelon refuses to restart its dual Zion Plant even though both of its licenses don't expire until a year from now?).

It is also my wish to educate those who believe that green sources of energy like solar and wind represent the way to the future as energy sources to replace fossil fuels and nuclear.

As posted by Rich Trzupek on May 6th, 2010 and filed under Front Page, when Trzupek asked an energy executive why his company was investing in wind-power so heavily, the executive's reply was that it's all about government subsidies. Once those subsidies run out, the executive intends to forgo any further (very expensive) maintenance. The turbines will be run until they break down and then forgotten.

It is reasonable to assume that this executive isn't the only person in the energy industry thinking along the same lines!
